Ship of the Dead

Dear Friends, Fans, and Lovers of Grateful Dead Music,

Once again our hearts are heavy with the news that our
comrade and musical brother, drummer for Lost Sailors since
its inception in 1991, Taz Cannon, has joined Eric in the
Great Gig in the Sky. We don't have details at the moment
(Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020), and we'll share more when
we can, but today we want to share this photo of Eric and Taz
from happier years before.
Stay well, stay home. Peace, Love, and Music to you all.

In 2015 we posted this message:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share with you
the news of the passing of our comrade and musical brother,
the bassist for Lost Sailors for its entire existence,
Eric Ott.

His deep love and friendship, his tremendous talent and his
unshakeable good humor, and the wonderful music he made
with us for 20 years (and more, with Terrapin Station),
will remain with us forever.

Please take a few moments to flip through a collection of
photos of Eric at Lost Sailors shows through the years,
and remember with us the joy, creative energy, and love
that Eric brought to us all.
